Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about SupportPath.
For Families
Is SupportPath free for families?
Yes — completely free. You can search providers, read reviews, compare profiles, and send enquiries at no cost. We never charge families a fee or commission.
How do I find an NDIS provider?
Use the search bar on the homepage or the Search page. Enter your suburb or postcode and select the type of support you need. You can filter by location, service type, and other criteria. Click any profile to read more about the provider, see their services and rates, and send an enquiry directly.
Does SupportPath work with all NDIS plan types?
Yes. SupportPath works for self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed (agency-managed) participants. All NDIS plan types are welcome. If you are agency-managed, look for providers with the SupportPath Verified badge — you must use registered providers. If you are plan-managed or self-managed, you can use both registered and unregistered providers.
Are providers verified?
All providers in our directory are drawn from the official NDIS Provider Register maintained by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Providers with a SupportPath Verified badge have confirmed registration status. We recommend always confirming a provider's current registration directly before signing a service agreement.
How do I contact a provider?
From any provider profile, click the "Send enquiry" button. You'll fill in a short form with your name, contact details, service type, and suburb. Your message lands in the provider's inbox straight away. Providers aim to respond within 2 business days.
What if a provider doesn't respond to my enquiry?
If you haven't heard back within 48 hours, SupportPath will send you an email with alternative providers in your area offering the same support. You are never locked in to one provider — you can contact as many as you like.
How do reviews work?
After connecting with a provider through SupportPath, you'll receive an email inviting you to leave a review. Reviews are verified — only families who made contact through SupportPath can leave reviews for a provider. Reviews cannot be removed by providers.
Can I compare providers side by side?
Yes. Use the Compare button on provider cards to add up to 3 providers to your comparison bar. A side-by-side comparison shows services, suburbs, rates, and key details together.
How do I report a concern about a provider?
Use the Incident Report feature from the Families dashboard or from the "Report a concern" link on any provider profile. For serious or urgent safety concerns, contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission directly at 1800 035 544 or ndiscommission.gov.au.
Is SupportPath affiliated with the NDIS or the Australian Government?
No. SupportPath is an independent private directory. We are not affiliated with the NDIS Commission, the NDIA, or any government body. We use publicly available data from the NDIS Provider Register to build our directory.
For Providers
How do I get listed on SupportPath?
If you are a registered NDIS provider, your organisation is likely already listed — we index from the NDIS Provider Register. Claim your profile by clicking "Are you a provider?" and creating a free account. Claiming lets you add photos, update your description, respond to reviews, and manage enquiries.
Is it free to list on SupportPath?
Yes. Every registered NDIS provider gets a free profile listing. Free accounts show your name, suburb, and services in search results — it's a shop window for families to find you. To start receiving and responding to family connections, upgrade to a paid plan. Starter is just $99/month (50% off launch price, normally $199). No lock-in contract on any plan. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard.
How is SupportPath different from other NDIS directories?
SupportPath charges providers a flat monthly subscription — we never take a percentage of your earnings. Platforms that charge 10% per booking cost providers thousands of dollars per year. With SupportPath, you keep 100% of what you charge families.
Do I need to be NDIS registered to list?
Registered providers are listed automatically. Unregistered providers can also create a profile — your listing will be marked as unregistered, which is appropriate for self-managed and plan-managed participants who can use any provider. Registration status is clearly shown on all profiles.
How do I respond to reviews?
From your provider dashboard, go to the Reviews tab. You can write a public response to any review. Responses are visible to all visitors on your profile. We recommend responding to all reviews — both positive and negative.
Do I need an ABN to list?
Yes. An ABN is required for all provider and worker accounts on SupportPath. This applies to both businesses and individual sole traders.
About SupportPath
How is SupportPath different from the NDIS provider finder on the NDIA website?
The government's myplace provider finder is basic — it shows names and contact details with limited search capability. SupportPath adds family reviews, detailed service profiles, side-by-side comparison, smart search by suburb, direct messaging, and guides to help families navigate the system. We also keep our data more current.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. We collect only the information needed to connect you with providers. Your contact details are shared only with providers you choose to contact. We never sell data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
